It's as simple as a flick of the switch.
Earth Hour is a worldwide phenomenon and is the world's biggest climate change initiative. This year, at 8.30pm on March 27th, around one billion people and over 1000 cities are predicted to turn their lights off for one hour - Earth Hour. A global effort to show that its possible to take on global warming.
Earth Hour 2010 is a global call to action to every individual, every business and every community. A call to stand up, to take responsbility and to get involved in working towards a sustainable future. Iconic buildings and landmarks around the world will be in darkness. People across the world will turn off their lights and join together in creating the vital conversation about the future of our precious planet.
In Hamilton Earth Hour can be celebrated in the central business district or you can participate at home by going out and looking at the stars, enjoying a candlelit dinner, or playing games in the dark.
