Dick Breukink
With this director's role, I would like to assist the Chamber in further promoting the growing Waikato economy. Through many years of managing hotels all around the world, having governance experience on various not-for-profit boards as well as through my continued role as judge for the business awards, I believe that I have the right skill set for this board. It is so good to see the Waikato economic region growing to be so prosperous and benefitting from its location within the North Island and at the same time, attracting excellent national and international investors into the region.
At the moment, I am retired and involved in charity work as an active member of Rotary Waikato Sunrise, member of Business Mentors NZ, recently became a Justice of the Peace, as well as assisting within the community (Kids in Need Waikato).
Nick Dinan
Working in the Waikato for the last 25 plus years I bring to the table experience in business development, leadership, regional management, start-up roles, and international expansion into the Australian and International markets.
My reputation, contacts, knowledge and experiences gained help me support individuals, Waikato teams and businesses so they can achieve more.
I’ve helped coach many locals who are transitioning from business to business to believe in themselves, so they give their best to the new business.
I’m privileged to work with great companies such as Minolta NZ, Perry Group, Bayley’s Real Estate, Canon NZ, AirSuite and recently S&L Land Specialists.
I enjoy networking and attend as many Chamber events as I can always meeting someone new and ultimately helping their businesses. I believe I can continue to make a difference and be of value to both the Board and its members.

Heathcote Appliances, Canary Enterprises Ltd, BODCO Limited, Waitomo Group and Montana Group are all synonymous with successful Waikato business. I've been a key senior executive with each. Throughout my career, I ve had the privilege of working for these successful Waikato enterprises, providing them with strategic & people centric leadership, financial acumen, organisational change, and business growth.
I m now seeking to apply my working knowledge of diverse industries and strategic leadership in the export market to help give insights to other Waikato businesses to grow & succeed. A contribution I believe I can make as a member of the Waikato Chamber of Commerce Board.
As a local business leader, former chairperson of ExportNZ Waikato {EMA), a member of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand a member of the Institute of Directors, a wife, and mum to a sports-loving family, I know the importance and value of the community it takes a village.
Phil Taylor
I am a Commercial Lawyer with over 30 years’ experience. I have been living in the Waikato since 2005 when I moved here for a role in Fonterra. Within a very short period of time of living here my wife and I decided that there was no better place in the world to bring up our children (then 2 and 3). I then joined Tompkins Wake as a Partner in 2006 as one of 7 Partners. 18 years on Tompkins Wake now has 35 Partners and offices in Auckland, Tauranga and Rotorua as well as its Hamilton headquarters.
I love contributing towards my community in a governance role and after having spent 10 years respectively as a Trustee of MESH Sculpture Hamilton and Sport Waikato (the last 3 years as Chair of Sport Waikato) I would now like to make a contribution through governance of the great Waikato Chamber of Commerce.

Hamilton is home – where I was born, raised, and deeply connected through both my roots and my work. My family heritage spans across Samoa, with ties to Faleasiu, Nuusuatia, Lufilufi, Satupaitea, and Neiafu, grounding me in values of community and service. As the CEO of LM4 Group, operating across New Zealand and Australia, I’ve dedicated my career to helping businesses, particularly SMEs, succeed and grow.
What drives me? Servant leadership. I’ve had the privilege of serving on multiple boards and advisory groups throughout New Zealand, sharpening my skills in strategic thinking and growth leadership.
After nearly two decades abroad, I’ve returned to New Zealand with renewed focus, eager to support the local business community. My previous experience on the Waikato Chamber of Commerce board opened my eyes to new opportunities, and now I’m ready to contribute with even greater impact.
Beyond business, I’m all about family. With my wife from Gisborne and our three boys, we’re invested in making a difference—whether through co-managing a marketing company with my sons or expanding our business ventures into Samoa.
I’m passionate about leadership, growth, and giving back. I look forward to leveraging that passion to create real impact on the Waikato Chamber of Commerce and the broader business community. Let’s drive the future together.
Quinton de Bruin
My name is Quinton de Bruin and I am seeking re-election.
I believe my contribution through my first term stems from a genuine passion for supporting and facilitating growth and success in our region and we have the people making this happen. My role as an investment adviser at Craigs Investment Partners affords me the opportunity to immerse myself in the business community right at the coal face.
Over the last 3 years, we as a Chamber achieved good progress and outcomes for our member businesses and community in a tough economy. Yet there is more to be done. Re-electing me provides members with the continuity required to maintain momentum during what is likely to be a challenging time. Right now, there are individuals in the Waikato that will help shape it into the region we want to raise families and work in, I would like to participate in that.
