For services to business, regional development, and community leadership.

Dallas Fisher ONZM is one of the Waikato's most influential business leaders, recognised for his outstanding contribution to business, entrepreneurship, regional development, sport, and community service.

Over a career spanning more than four decades, Dallas has built and led successful organisations across engineering, hospitality, transport, events, and professional sport. He transformed NDA into what is now Tīra Group, one of Australasia's leading stainless steel and speciality alloy manufacturers, and co-founded Montana Catering, which has grown into one of New Zealand's largest privately owned catering businesses.

Beyond business, Dallas has played a significant role in shaping the Waikato region through governance and leadership. His contributions include serving with the Chiefs, Go Bus Holdings, FMG Stadium Waikato, Te Waka, and numerous regional initiatives that have strengthened the Waikato's economy and profile.

Known for identifying opportunities, backing talented people, and building sustainable organisations, Dallas has also made a lasting impact through philanthropy, sponsorship, and community support, much of it undertaken quietly behind the scenes.

In 2018, he was appointed an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit (ONZM) for services to business, philanthropy, and sport.

Dallas Fisher is inducted into the Waikato Business Hall of Fame in recognition of his enduring leadership, entrepreneurial success, and commitment to creating opportunities that have benefited generations of Waikato people.
