I joined the Chamber because let's face it, my social life needed more pizzazz than just arguing over who should pay for the last round of drinks with friends. I figured, why not network with people who can actually spell "entrepreneurship" without using auto-correct? I'm most excited to attend those glamorous Chamber events where everyone pretends not to look at your name tag while striking up a conversation about quarterly profits. Oh, and I can't wait to get my hands on those exclusive market insights, so I can finally win the next heated debate about economic trends at family dinners.

Getting to know the Waikato business community gives me a sense of excitement as I'm a natural connector of people. I enjoy hearing the backstory of those who've built great businesses (small or large). It's a natural way to learn about the heart and ethos of a business owner and it allows me to naturally share about what I do. Now I've settled in, it's time to let the business marketplace know I'm here, as it's them who I serve.
What I love the most about living & working in the Waikato is first and foremost, my daughter. After adulting separately for 13 years, she requested I come flat with her. How could I refuse? I really like how the Waikato is central to the wider regions of the North Island, which suits other business projects I have bubbling away in the background. Not to mention I've a great home office that I really enjoy working in - chef's kiss!

Its is great to see so many likeminded businesses within the Chamber community so I look forward to the many events where we can share a (Good George) beer.
What excites me about having a locally owned an operated business here in the Waikato is the amount of investment going into the region, the locals passion for the region and all that is on offer for us as a business. On a personal note, with 3 kids to keep occupied, there is so much to do across the region and it is pretty handy having some family as well as great customers based in Raglan so that will be a regular destination.

Our region has a strong community feel and people are willing to support each other. I'm most excited to start attending the great events the Chamber puts on. The topics and speakers look really interesting, so I'm looking forward to learning more and connecting with people.
