It’s been a BIG year, so what better way to finish it than with a drink in hand, some good kai, great company and a little bit of inspiration?

Join us for a festive end-of-year celebration with the Waikato Waahine Collective, featuring a relaxed and honest conversation with three inspiring local waahine in business.

We’ll hear the real stories behind their businesses, from backing themselves and turning passions into careers, to spotting a need and doing something about it, taking risks, navigating challenges and learning plenty along the way. No polished corporate panel, just real stories, honest kōrero and a few lessons we can all take away.

Then it’s time to put the networking into action! Grab a drink, meet some brilliant local waahine, enjoy some festive nibbles and celebrate making it through another big year.

And because Christmas is about giving too, we’ll be adding a little Waahine give-back to the evening. We’ll ask everyone to bring along a donation for a local charity, so we can spread a little extra Christmas cheer while we’re at it.

Good people. Good kōrero. Good vibes. A little festive cheer. And plenty of reasons to celebrate.

Come along, bring a friend, and let’s finish the year together!

CHRISTMAS GIVEBACK

We'd love everyone to bring along a donation for one of our chosen Christmas charity drives.

Kiwi Christmas Books Charitable Trust

What to bring: A new book for any aged child (0-18yrs)

“These aren’t just books in a care pack - they are a message to a child that they matter.” – Kids in Need Waikato

At Kiwi Christmas Books, we believe that good books help build good people. Since 2019, we’ve been putting brand-new books into the hands of tamariki and rangatahi across Aotearoa whose whānau can’t afford to buy their own, or who struggle to access quality literature, so that no child goes without a story of their own at Christmas.

Each November and December, Kiwis buy and donate new books through participating locally owned bookstores, schools, workplaces and community groups. We then distribute those books through local charities that know their communities best. In the 2025 campaign, 64 bookstores in 42 towns and cities took part, and 14,059 books were gifted through 59 charity partners. Since our inception, we’ve gifted over $1 million dollars of books as well as supporting great Kiwi authors, illustrators and bookstores.

Here in the Waikato, we proudly support Kids in Need Waikato and Women’s Refuge, getting books into the hands of children and whānau who need a little extra support at Christmas.

“Reading gives us someplace to go when we have to stay where we are.” – Mason Cooley

St Vincent de Paul Hamilton

What to bring: Non perishable food item (tinned fruit, vegetables, fish, soup, pasta, rice, long-life milk, or other everyday basics)

This Christmas we’re teaming up with the Waikato Waahine Collective to support families across the Waikato. Vinnies provides food parcels, community meals, and Christmas gifts for kids who need them. Last year alone, the services we run helped feed 23,400 people, and more than half the people who come to us for help are women.

Every tin or packet you bring helps put food on the table and a little something under the tree for local kids.

Thank you for helping us look after our community this Christmas.
