SUSTAINABILITY

The Chamber is dedicated to acting in a sustainable manner, as well as providing resources for and inspiring the wider Waikato business community to do the same. Below is an overview of what we are currently doing or plan to do.

In 2022 we intend to increase what we are doing in this area, as well as promote our members' sustainability efforts through our promotion channels. If you would like to cooperate with us or share what you or your business are doing in the sustainability field, please contact Liam.

Instep Carbon and Sustainability Programme

The Chamber is participating in Instep’s Carbon and Sustainability Programme for the first time in 2022. This mean we have committed to taking action to reduce our environmental impact, and will undergo an independent carbon assessment throughout the year with the goal of reducing our carbon footprint.

We will share the process we go through and our results with our members over the next year as we go through the programme.

EV Expo

To support the Waikato EV ecosystem, we plan to hold an EV Expo in late 2022 / early 2023, to show local businesses the range of options they have to help transition to a green fleet.

If you would like to cooperate in this event, please contact Liam.
