Coromandel Peninsula Recovery Appeal launched
Following the recent State of Emergency on the Coromandel Peninsula, many local businesses have been impacted by flooding, slips and disrupted access. Momentum Waikato is appealing to the generosity of those who can help to donate to its Recovery Appeal, a trusted and direct way to support Coromandel businesses as they recover, reopen and welcome visitors back to the region. All donations will go to Coromandel organisations needing much-needed financial relief through these challenging times, helping restore access, confidence and economic activity so visitors can once again support local business. To donate visit the Momentum Waikato website and select COROMANDEL PENINSULA RECOVERY APPEAL.
Inland Revenue: Staying on track with Tax
Many businesses are continuing to navigate tight cash flow conditions. Inland Revenue is placing increased focus on GST and employer taxes, alongside encouraging business owners to stay on top of filings and payments.
For Chamber members, the key message is to engage early if challenges arise. Inland Revenue provide practical support through easy to understand online advice to help you get it right, free business seminars are available in the Waikato and online, flexible payment options via myIR, and instalment arrangements where needed. Taking action early can reduce penalties and interest and help your business stay on track with confidence.
