Waikato Chamber of Commerce Board Nominees
The Chamber’s Board Selection Committee has now completed its review of applications and is pleased to present the nominees for the 2025 Board election.
To ensure a fair and transparent process, electionz.com, an independent election management company, will oversee the election. Voting will be conducted electronically. The key representative from each member organisation will receive an email from electionz.com with instructions on how to cast their vote.
Voting opens: Monday 13th October, 9.00am
Voting closes: Friday 24th October, 5.00pm
Your Vote Matters
We encourage all members to take part in this important process. The Chamber’s strength comes from the engagement and input of its members, and your vote will help shape the direction of our organisation as we continue to connect, grow, inspire and represent the Waikato business community.

Dick Breukink
With an extensive background in managing large hotels all around the world and 29yrs with the group Accor Hospitality, I bring extensive knowledge to the table around hospitality and events. Looking at the current make-up of the board, my skill set is not represented at this stage.
After my working career, my main focus has been on giving back to the community with various board roles, coaching and mentoring with Business Mentors as well as voluntary work for charitable organisations.
Highlight every year has been to be a Judge for the Waikato Business Awards for many years and truly recognising the growth our region is going through and the quality of investments we currently see. Proud moment was becoming a JP in 2024 and at the moment working for Kids in Need Waikato to assist in the great work they do in these difficult financial times.

I have been a board member of the Chamber for over 6 years and the Chair for the last year, having previously been the Chair of Finance, Audit & Risk.
We are on a strong growth phase within the Chamber with a mandate to grow our membership beyond 1,000 members while becoming the voice of business within the Waikato.
I am an experienced Director and Governor who is committed to Chair the Chamber for my remaining term of three years should I be re-elected.
Waikato is arguably the fastest growing region and has huge potential but we must stay focused on a unified growth path and ensure we are well heard both locally and centrally to ensure our needs are met in investment, infrastructure and growth. The Chamber is ready to support business.
