Andrew Boyd

I seek re-election to the Waikato Chamber Board because a strong Chamber matters to the region's prosperity. Raised in Hamilton and educated at Hamilton Boys High and the University of Waikato, I have served on the Board since 2020.

I bring over three decades of strategy, finance and executive leadership across Deloitte, DHBs, St John and Health New Zealand, including leading large organisations through change. As a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Director, I offer financial discipline, sound governance and a practical understanding of how business, education, workforce and public services shape and drive regional growth.

My work with businesses, councils, iwi, public sector and community organisations has reinforced the value of collaboration across the Waikato. I also serve as a trustee of the Community Enterprise Leadership Foundation. I will continue to advocate for members and help the Chamber advance the Waikato's economic and social wellbeing.

Mark Donovan

I am seeking re-election to the Waikato Chamber of Commerce Board to contribute practical business experience, strong regional networks, and commercially focused governance.

As former owner of Donovan’s Chocolates, I understand first-hand the challenges and opportunities of building a successful Waikato business. My time on Hamilton City Council also gave me valuable insight into the relationship between business, local government and community.

Today, as Regional Manager with New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, I work alongside Waikato businesses supporting growth, innovation and international expansion, keeping me closely connected to our region’s business community.

Business is about people and making connections. Something I enjoy, whether over a conversation, catching a wave at Raglan, walking the fairways or sharing a marlin fishing story that may have grown slightly with the telling.

Having lived, worked and raised my family here, I remain committed to helping ensure the Chamber continues to deliver practical outcomes that strengthen the Waikato’s business community.

Kia ora, I'm Janey Haringa. Proud to be part of our Waikato business community as director of JH LAW and an existing Chamber Board member.

Every day, it’s a privilege to support business owners and their teams as they grow, create and pivot - often making an impact well beyond our region.

I’d like to continue on the Board to help grow the Chamber membership, widen engagement across the sectors and continue championing Waikato businesses on the national and international stage.

As a commercial lawyer and business owner, I bring practical business experience across sectors, energy and a willingness to offer a different view. I'd love more Waikato businesses to see the Chamber as their core network - somewhere to connect, contribute and champion business together.

Having lived, studied and worked in the Waikato, I’m passionate about helping our region’s businesses succeed and our economy thrive.

As a Partner in Commercial Banking, I work with business owners and professional advisers across a broad range of industries, giving me firsthand insight into the opportunities and challenges facing Waikato organisations, from start-ups and family businesses through to larger growth-focused enterprises.

Having completed my schooling locally, I have a strong connection to the region and was honoured to join the Hamilton Boys’ High School Old Boys Foundation Trust as a Trustee in 2024, further developing my interest in governance and community contribution.

I’m seeking to join the Chamber Board because I value its role in advocating for business, fostering connections and supporting regional growth. I would bring commercial and financial expertise, strong business networks, strategic thinking and a genuine commitment to the Waikato’s continued success.

I am standing for the Chamber Board because I believe in the power of our business community, and I want to help drive its future.

I will bring a fresh perspective shaped by a decade practicing law right here in the Waikato. Having spent years attending Chamber events, building connections, and using our resources, I know exactly how much value this network brings when we get it right.

As a founding member of the Waikato Waahine Collective Advisory Committee, I have listened closely to what locals need. I hear consistently that businesses of every size and industry want a seat at the table, genuine diversity, and real, practical benefits.

I will passionately advocate for you, ensuring your unique challenges are heard and acted on. I want to turn your everyday feedback into strong, strategic direction for a thriving local economy.

Greta Shirley

Born in Kirikiriroa, I've always been a strong advocate for the Waikato, its people and its contribution to New Zealand's success. While my career and family have taken me around New Zealand and overseas, the Waikato has always been home.

I bring 25+ years' experience across business leadership, customer experience, marketing, communications, government relations and reputation management, spanning energy, science and healthcare. Today, I'm proud to be part of Waitomo Group, a family-owned Waikato business that has grown nationally, giving me first-hand insight into the opportunities and challenges of growth.

Most importantly, I'm a people person. I believe strong businesses and communities are built through relationships, collaboration, curiosity and constructively challenging thinking.

My commercial, community and volunteer experience keeps me connected to what matters beyond business. I'd bring energy, sound judgement and a strong customer and community lens, while championing Waikato businesses and giving back to the region that has given me so much.
