Waikato Chamber of Commerce Annual General Meeting
The Board warmly invites all members to join us for the 2025 Annual General Meeting.
The AGM is an opportunity to connect with fellow members, the Board, and Chamber staff, reflect on the achievements of the past 12 months, and hear about the Chamber’s priorities for the year ahead.
While the meeting will cover the required formalities, it is also a valuable chance to network and engage with others in our business community. Attendance is free, and we encourage all members to take part.
AGM documents will be emailed to all registered attendees prior to the meeting.
The 2025 AGM is proudly sponsored by OfficeMax.

Board Nominations & Changes to the Board
With Board nominations now closed, we are pleased to confirm that two nominations were received for the two available Board positions. As the number of nominees did not exceed the number of vacancies, an election is not required.
Following review by our selection committee, we are pleased to confirm that Dick Breukink and Peter Nation will officially join the Waikato Chamber of Commerce Board at the AGM.
We thank Emily Zhang for her six years of leadership and governance on the Board, and for the positive impact she’s made during her tenure.
Dick Breukink
Dick brings extensive experience from a distinguished 29-year career with the Accor Hospitality Group, during which he managed large hotels across the world. His depth of knowledge in hospitality and events adds valuable expertise to the current composition of the Board, broadening its representation and insight.
Following his international career, Dick has focused on giving back to the community through various board roles, coaching and mentoring with Business Mentors New Zealand, and voluntary work with charitable organisations. Each year, a highlight for Dick has been serving as a long-standing judge for the Waikato Business Awards, celebrating the growth and success of businesses across our region.
A proud moment in Dick’s community service journey was his appointment as a Justice of the Peace in early 2024. He is currently supporting Kids in Need Waikato, assisting with their vital work helping families through challenging financial times.
Peter Nation
Peter has been an integral part of the Chamber for more than six years, serving as Chair over the past year and previously leading the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee. With extensive governance and leadership experience, Peter brings a strong understanding of strategic growth, financial management, and business advocacy to the Board.
As the Waikato continues to experience rapid development, Peter is focused on ensuring the Chamber remains a unified and influential voice for local business, championing investment, infrastructure, and sustainable regional growth.
The Chamber is well-positioned to support and represent our business community with Peter’s continued commitment to strengthening the voice of business in the Waikato.
